March 18, 2010 -   BLUE DAY

Alice in Wonderland will be performed by the 2010 Senior class on March 19th and 20th at the Milo Town Hall at 7pm. Please join us for some great entertainment (and tea party refreshments)!

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES!!!  On Wednesday morning, March 24, there will be a trip to Tri-County Technical Center for tours of different programs that they offer.  Please sign up with Mrs. Foss in the Guidance Office if you are interested in going!! 

FREE Softball & Baseball Clinics:  The Milo Recreation Department will be sponsoring FREE Baseball and Softball Clinics for high school students Saturday 20th.  Softball will be 12:00-2:00 p.m.  Baseball will be 2:30-4:30 p.m.  Please bring your glove and sneakers.  Rec. Director Dickie Martin will be the instructor.  You are welcome to come this Saturday even if you missed last week. 

BASEBALL:  Anyone interested in trying out for baseball:  There will be a meeting with Coach Allen after school on Friday in the gym.  Pitchers & Catchers will try-out Monday @ 3-4:30 p.m.

SOFTBALL:  Pitchers & Catchers will try-out Monday @ 4:30-6:00 p.m. 

Open Gym for high school boys interested in playing basketball 6-7:30 p.m.  each Tuesday and Thursday.  This is sponsored by the Milo Recreation Department and will include the men’s league.  

TENNIS:  Coach Carey asks that you staff off the tennis courts this week.  Until the frost is out of the ground, walking on the courts could damage them.  Thank you. 

SENIORS:  The local scholarship application is now available.  ALL seniors advancing their education are encouraged to apply.  Please pick up an application in the Guidance Office soon.

Dance:  There will be Spring Fever Dance for grades 9-12 on March 26th from 7-10 p.m.  Admission is $3.00 per person and music will be provided by Miss Molly Music & Sound.  This dance is sponsored by the Freshmen Class.  Refreshments will be served. 

MSAD #41 Internet Safety Sessions will be held in the Penquis Cafeteria 6-7:30 p.m.   The guest speaker will be Lt. Bob Young from the Piscataquis Sheriff’s Office.  On Monday, 03/22/10, the topic will be “Are your children using Facebook”.   We will explore social networking sites, tips about privacy settings and monitoring strategies. 

Middle School Sectionals today:  No sectionals.

The Sons of the American Legion, Bernard Jones Post #92 in Brownville Jct., are inviting students interested in joining or learning more to please stop by the Legion Building on Railroad Ave. in the Jct. on Saturday, March 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  For more information, stop by the office. 

Josh B. & Spencer T. say this year the boys will absolutely crush the girls in the Quiz Bowl.  They predict the margin of victory will be so great that the girls will run home crying to their mommies.  Plan to be in the gym on March 24th at 7 p.m. to see the girls cry.
